Escas activities are regulated the the statute registered by the French authorities. Board members are elected through an open procedure online involving all ESCAS members. The board is normally composed of 8 members but can operate with a higher or lower number if needed. This is usually the case if the board is operating at full regime but a novel potential member is identified and is motivated to actively participate in ESCAS activities. Likewise, board members that are no longer active can submit their resignation anytime. In case of a member no longer active and impossible to reach (not responding for a long time), the board may decrete a coercive resignation and replace the member.
